Hello! Happy 2024, and all that jazz… It’s been a while, hasn’t it?
I’ve been working hard on a lot of projects, and things are coming along nicely. I took a break from any of my urban fantasy/paranormal romance stories since I was burning out and wrote an isekai story called The Queen of Shattered Lies, which should be published later this year. This was more of an experimental novel, to be honest, since I usually focus on more contemporary stories, but I really did fall in love with the MC of that book, Naomi.
Currently, I’m working on edits for The Disgraced Justice and the Senseless Oracle and The Second Life of Dominic Clayton as well as a first draft of another vampire story, Bound by Blood. I plan on having these books out in April/May (yeah, I know, I know… been saying that for a long time. I mean it this time. Famous last words.)
I finished the first draft of the visual novel I’ve been working on, and I’m just waiting for my artist to return from hibernation so I can put out a demo.
Life’s been a bit difficult, mainly that I’m dealing with my grandfather’s dementia (which got much worse in January) and that my mother decided to uproot him and take him to Texas, where the medical care was way worse. Then he had a stroke, and everything’s just been spiraling. But I think things are going to get better soon. Hopefully.
On a brighter note, I’d like to introduce you to my newest MCs! These are Raynell LaMonte (in the front, they/them) and Charles Mae Kenova (in the back, he/him). They’re both vampires, and are kind of a dark reflection of Theodore and Mikhail. They show up in Fallen Justice 3 (which I’m planning now) as antagonists, but I grew enamored with them and decided to give them their own story, Bound by Blood.
That’s the newest update for now.
Stay safe, wash your hands (even if the government says that the panini is over) and have a good rest of your month!
